Ethno USA 2026

What happens when 30 young musicians from more than 20 cultures spend ten days living, jamming, and creating together? One unforgettable sound.

As part of the NC Folk Festival this year, the Ethno USA 'Ethnorchestra' takes the Carolina Theatre stage on Friday, September 18, (including festival headliner- OKAN!) at 6 p.m., and then a closing Sunday matinee on September 20 at 2 p.m. A show where West African rhythms meet Appalachian strings, Māori song meets Afro-Cuban groove, and everything gets woven together right before your eyes.

These are brand-new arrangements, born right here in Greensboro, that will never be played the same way again. Come hear what happens when the whole planet shares a stage at the NC Folk Festival!
