GROW Residency Closing Reception with Victoria Mercado-Lues

Creative Greensboro will welcome visual artist Victoria Mercado-Lues to the Greensboro Residency for Original Works, August 25 through October 2. Throughout her six-week residency, Mercado-Lues will create new work inspired by her coming-of-age experience as a young Mexican-American woman, using cardboard, papier-mache, crochet, fabric, and oil painting.

Join Mercado-Lues as she wraps up her GROW Residency with an artist talk about the work made over the past six weeks. Reception, 6-8 p.m. Artist talk, 6:30 pm.
