Community Mural at NC Folk Festival

Creative Greensboro will welcome visual artist Victoria Mercado-Lues to the Greensboro Residency for Original Works, August 25 through October 2. Throughout her six-week residency, Mercado-Lues will create new work inspired by her coming-of-age experience as a young Mexican-American woman, using cardboard, papier-mache, crochet, fabric, and oil painting.

Contribute to a mini-community mural during Folk Fest, painting in sections to reveal what the picture will be. Sunday, Sept. 20, 2-4 p.m.
