Learn Celtic guitar from one of the finest players in the world. Come play and spend time together in this supportive environment.

Cost: Advance tickets are $50. Pre-sale tickets to the workshop end on Friday, July 24, at noon. Depending on capacity, tickets may still be available at the door (cash only) the day of the workshop. For day of show ticket inquiries, text 336-508-5819.

All levels of proficiency are welcome and supported. Bring your guitar for a workshop of active participation.

Tony has been teaching private lessons, masterclasses and group workshops for over 20 years. He loves sharing his passion and skills with people from all over the world. For the last 11 years he has been hosting his very own annual guitar weekend in the beautiful town of Elora, Ontario. He sometimes teaches guitar classes at The Swannanoa Gathering.

Tony’s teaching is brilliantly clear, accessible and inspiring. Workshop participants should be prepared to play, laugh and learn. This workshop is tailored to all levels and promises a variety of learning outcomes which include: intro to dadgad tuning, melodies with open scales, left hand techniques, triplet on string 1 & 2, frailing and using a capo and common Celtic rhythms.

Celtic music may very well be one of the purest and richest forms of folk music across the entire history of music.

The 'Boro Sessions is a concert producer/promoter for small, intimate concerts of multiple genres in North Carolina. It is currently in the process of becoming a nonprofit educational organization and delights in bringing accomplished artists and high quality concerts and educational opportunities that might otherwise be unavailable to the community.

The Music Academy of North Carolina, a nonprofit community music school, is providing the space for this workshop, in partnership with The 'Boro Sessions. Free parking is available on the street and in the Music Academy parking lot behind the building.
