Closet Cosplay: Character from Your Closet Workshop

Ever heard of a con? No, not being swindled, but a large gathering where fans of pop culture like comics, movies, gaming, or more meet to celebrate, express themselves, attend panels ... and participate in cosplay (costume play). Closet cosplay uses your own clothes as a foundation to capture the spirit of a character or fandom.

This 4-hour workshop, facilitated by LaToya Winslow with the Forge's Textile Dept. Lead, Micha Maiello, will walk you through Closet Cosplay 101, 4-part Closet Cosplay Method, Character Planning, and a Building Session. With just a few clothing pieces from your closet, a chosen character/fandom, and our help, you'll be on your way to creating your own cosplay.
