Jazz Workshop

Now's the time to up your jazz game - to learn more, to try more, and play some music with us! Each jazz workshop is unique as we delve into different aspects of the genre.

Chrishawn Darby will be leading this workshop about how to develop an arrangement in real time when playing with a band.

We'll be talking about how to make live arrangements of known tunes on the bandstand. The example pieces will be C Jam Blues, Take the A Train, Autumn Leaves, and Summertime. We'll explore horn backgrounds, rhythm section hits, harmony lines, and more!
