Passive Art: “Micro‑Surfaces Lab” – A Hands‑On Material Experimentation Station in the Showroom

A small table where visitors create swatch sized” “surface studies” using a curated spread of regional, everyday, or studio-adjacent materials. The goal is to let people explore process, repetition, and decision‑making the way the exhibiting artists do—on a tiny, approachable scale.

Work Around looks at the processes of Cohab artists and local studios, shaped by regional materials and distinct stylistic approaches. The collection mingles formal experimentation and a liveable, collectible design aesthetic, where surfaces formed through visible decision-making invite study at both intimate and distant scales.

Reception from 4-7pm with a DJ set from Night School Watcher and good eats with Thai Smile Street Food
