Creating Wall Sculptures out of Everyday Materials | Artist Workshop

Join artist, Tara Thacker, on March 28th from 1-5 pm for a hands-on wall sculpture workshop exploring the power of repetition, labor, and material transformation.

Cohab will provide the structural frames for 1×1’ and 8×12” wall sculptures. The sculptural surface and visual identity of the piece, however, will come from you. We encourage participants to gather and bring everyday materials you have in abundance at home – yarn, fabric scraps, clothespins, plastic packaging, foil, wire, cardboard, or anything repetitive and plentiful.

This workshop will focus on turning “a lot of one thing” into a textured, dimensional wall piece through creative repetition and play.
