Paper Weaving with Paste Paper: Transform Your Artwork Into Colorful Designs 🎨✂️

Fridays, February 27th, March 6th, & March 13th from 10:00am-12:00pm

Explore the vibrant world of paper weaving in this hands-on class! Using paste papers made in class as well as your own collection of old or imperfect artwork, you’ll create woven designs that celebrate color, proportion, and playful expression. Paste paper—a homemade, decorative paper often used in bookbinding—will be the foundation of your weaving, giving your projects texture, movement, and visual interest.

In this workshop, you’ll:
-Make paste paper from acrylic paint and starch
-Cut your papers into strips and weave them together
-Combine your own artwork or favorite papers with freshly made paste papers

Your finished piece can stand alone as a work of art, or serve as a unique cover for a handmade book.

Along the way, you’ll experiment with color, contrast, proportion, and rhythm while creating a colorful 9x12 inch (or smaller) paper weaving. You’ll also leave the class with several sheets of paste paper to use in future projects.

Perfect for anyone interested in design, mixed media, or upcycling artwork into something new and beautiful.

All Supplies and classes are covered in the fee of $90.00.
