Auditions for Short Tales for Children

Laughter, lines, and little storytellers! Creative Greensboro is thrilled to invite young performers to audition for its beloved annual production, Short Tales for Children.

Auditions will take place Thursday and Friday, December 11–12, from 6–8 p.m. at the Stephen D. Hyers Theatre, inside the Greensboro Cultural Center (200 N. Davie St.). Calling all kids ages 7–15: whether you're a seasoned stage star or brand new to acting, this is your moment! No experience? No problem—every child who auditions will be cast in the show. Performances are set for January 31 and February 1, 2026, at the Van Dyke Performance Space.

**About Short Tales
**The “Short Tales for Children” program is an annual collaboration between Creative Greensboro and UNCG Theater. This year features short original plays written by members of the Greensboro Playwrights Forum that will be directed by UNCG School of Theater Education students under the mentorship of Performing Arts Coordinator, Todd Fisher and UNCG Professor, Joshua Purvis. “Short Tales” provides young actors a fun environment to explore theatre, supported by college students who are receiving real world experience in theatre education for children.
