"A Life's Work Revealed" A Solo Exhibition by Dorothy Rogers - Artist's Reception
Join us as we showcase decades of private art-making by this exceptional artist, Dorothy Lou Speedy Rogers. Over forty works never seen in public before - shown together for the first time at Creative Aging Network-NC.
Dorothy was born the youngest of six during the great depression in Ekerty, Indiana. Her first art pieces were mostly portraits of family members and pets. Then she graduated to more colorful works in oil. Dorothy has always used art as a form of expression, not for others but for herself. Now she’s sharing her deeply personal collection—a visual diary of a life well-lived, full of resilience, imagination, and quiet joy. This retrospective is not only a tribute to Dorothy's enduring creative spirit but also a testament to the power of art at every stage of life.
Join us in celebrating the legacy of a woman who painted not for fame, but for the love of creating.
Exhibition is open for viewing weekdays between 9am and 5pm, July 7 through July 31.
