Scaled Up Opening Reception

“Scaled Up”, a captivating showcase of larger-than-life artworks that promise to transform the way we engage with visual art. Opening on Friday March 7th, 2025, Scaled Up brings together an array of exceptional, oversized works—each measuring greater than 36x48 inches—that have been carefully curated to offer an immersive, awe-inspiring experience for the community.

Featuring a diverse range of artists and media, Scaled Up presents an extraordinary selection of paintings, photographs, digital, and mixed-media works, all emphasizing scale and spectacle. The exhibition invites attendees to not only view the artwork, but to be enveloped in it, as each piece challenges the conventional boundaries of space and perception.

"The scale of these works shifts the narrative from traditional gallery experiences into something entirely more dynamic," says Sage Betts, curator of the exhibition. "We believe the monumental size and exceptional visual impact of these artworks will create a deeper, more meaningful connection between the art and the audience.”

Scaled Up aims to elevate the visual experience, pushing both the physical and conceptual limits of art. From abstract expressions to vibrant figurative representations, the artworks on display embody the power of scale as a form of storytelling, drawing viewers into powerful narratives and breathtaking compositions.

The exhibition will run from Friday March 7, 2025 to Saturday March 29, 2025] at the Center for Visual Artists Gallery and is FREE and open to the public.
