Sock Creature Day
Unleash your creativity at our Sock Creature Day workshop, where you’ll learn to craft your very own sock creature under the expert instruction of mixed media artist Beth Latture.
Originally from Greensboro, Beth spent 35 years in VA and MD, exhibiting her work with the group FINE (Fiber in Nearly Everything) across the Mid-Atlantic. She also served as a docent at The American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore before returning to Greensboro, where she now lives with her husband Richard and their dog Rosie.
This hands-on experience invites families, friends of all ages and skill levels to learn the art of sock creature making. Under the guidance of our guest artist Beth Latture, you’ll transform an ordinary pair of socks into a whimsical, one-of-a-kind toy. Whether you're new to sewing or a seasoned crafter, this workshop promises fun and creativity for everyone. This is the perfect opportunity to bond with family or friends, spark your creativity, and take home a personalized sock creature. Ages 12 and up are welcome, and no prior experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and a pair of socks!
Those who RSVP are eligible to purchase sock creature kits at a 10% discount—a fun and creative holiday gift!
