Featuring Doug E Fresh!

2019 Hip Hop Alliance Lifetime Achievement Award Winner Doug E. Fresh brings back Old School Hip Hop at the 3rd Annual Black Pearls Jam, hosted by the Black Pearls Society, Inc. Sunday, June 16, 2024, at The Continental Club in historic Downtown Greensboro.

Known as the Human Beatbox. Doug E Fresh’s career spans over three
decades. From his hits “The Show” and “La Di Da Di” with the Get Fresh Crew in the early 80’s, to his 1992 single, "Bustin' Out (On Funk)", which
sampled Rick James's 1979 single "Bustin' Out". And in 2010 teaching the
world "How to Dougie."   This is sure to be one of the “Spotlight Events” for
the Triad in 2024 for seasoned Hip Hop fans as well as newcomers to the
classic Hip Hop sound. A cash bar and food trucks will be on site.

The Pearls Jam, is an initiative of the Black Pearls Society, Inc. Its goal to
celebrate the culture and power of the strong Black woman, nurturing and
sustaining this heritage across generations.
