More About Journey

Greensboro Project Space introduces an extraordinary experience created only for BA Art students at UNCG. This annual show is meant to celebrate and recognize their growth as they continue their journeys as artists. We have invited students that specialize in various mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, etc. Our goal for this show is to give BA Art students the spotlight and provide them with an opportunity to share their work. We are excited to see how far they’ve come in their artistic journeys and we'd love for you to experience it with us.

More About Curator, Brad Lowry

Brad Lowry is one of our student curators and a graduating BA Art student. He has various interests such as visual arts, animation, graphic design, arts administration, and art curation. He hopes to make an impact with our art show, Journey, and provide a space for other BA Art students to share their work, connect with other creators, and be recognized for their hard work.

More About Curator, Shay Soukup

Shay Soukup [BFA Sculpture and Ceramics / Art History] is a contemporary artist and student curator from Defiance, OH. Currently, she explores the human condition through large-scale ink drawings and dynamic metal sculptures. Her work has been featured in multiple galleries and outdoor sculpture exhibitions in the triad area. Shay’s passion for museum studies grew while studying Art History at UNCG, and further developed after assisting GreenHill’s head curator Edie Carpenter to curate John Rosenthal’s retrospective in 2023. In the future, she intends to help make art more accessible to communities through means of curation and public art.
