Women's Writing Workshop

Tue, Apr 16, 2024

What To Expect

This 90-minute workshop is for women looking for a welcoming, judgement-free space to take that first plunge into creative expression, or to inject a sense of possibility and fun into their current writing practice.

We’ll explore a little bit of everything, including:

  • Short, fun prompts to warm-up and inspire your imagination.
  • Guided reflections and freewriting to open up your writing mind.
  • Ways to wake up and tap into one of your most valuable resources as a writer: your five senses.

You’ll walk away with:

  • A stronger sense of your writing voice and what topics you are truly excited to write about.
  • A feeling of playfulness and possibility.
  • New writing and ideas for keeping your creative momentum going.
  • Support from other women who have the urge to express themselves through words.

Fee: $45

No previous writing experience necessary. All you need to bring is yourself, a notebook and pen, and your curiosity!

Who Should Take This Workshop

This workshop is for anyone:

  • Wanting to write but feeling unsure of how to get started.
  • Interested in exploring their own lives as writing material.
  • Going through a life change and looking for ways to make sense of it.
  • Looking to become more confident and playful in expressing creativity.

About Me

Hello! My name is Nicole Lungerhausen and I’m a writer, theater maker, and coach. My stories have been featured in many publications, including Apparition Lit, Apex, and The Future Fire. My work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has received an honorable mention from Writers of the Future. I was a professional actor in the San Francisco Bay Area for 10+ years; I love to draw on my experience in movement, improv, and breathwork to inspire both my own writing and my work with others. As a coach, I focus on giving people the space and tools to discover their writing voices and the stories they truly want to tell. I specialize in short fiction and personal essays.
