Chicago: Silent Film Screening
Sat, Jun 3, 2023
7:00 PM
Greensboro Project Space
The silent film “Chicago” (1927) is a both comedy and melodrama that blends in trash journalism, a topic as relevant today as it was back in the 1920s. This film is the original tale that has been remade at least twice. Once with Ginger Rogers in the title role in “Roxie Hart” and then the multiple Oscar winning film in 2002. Long thought to be a lost film, a beautiful print was found in the personal collection of Cecil B. DeMille and restored in 2006 by UCLA. Come see it with live music by Gil Fray on Saturday, 3 June at 7:00p.m. at the Greensboro Project Space at 111 E. February Place, Greensboro.
