‘The President’s Own’ United States Marine Band

For the first time in a decade, “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band returns to Greensboro as part of its 2026 National Concert Tour.

Founded in 1798, the Marine Band is America’s oldest continuously active professional musical organization and has performed for every U.S. President since John Adams. The program will celebrate the legacy of John Philip Sousa with traditional band repertoire, Sousa marches, contemporary works, featured soloists, and a patriotic salute to the Armed Forces.

“The President’s Own” United States Marine Band’s tour performance is free and open to the public. Free tickets are limited to four (4) per request.

Venue doors will open 45 minutes before the concert, with seating beginning at that time. Ticket holders should be seated at least 15 minutes before the performance to guarantee their seat. After that time, any unclaimed seats may be released to patrons in the standby line on a first-come, first-served basis.

Large bags and backpacks are not permitted inside the concert venue. No flash photography or video recording permitted.
