The Music Academy of North Carolina
Our free monthly jazz workshop series is getting a little bluesy this month. Lead teacher Evan Campfield will show you how the blues evolved. The three main tunes are Oscar Peterson's "C Jam Blues," Thelonious Monk's "Blue Monk," and Charlie Parker's "Blues for Alice". ("Billie's Bounce", "All Blues", and "Blue Lights" may join the conversation, too.)
Come out and jam with us. Reminder: if you attend 3 of the 4 workshops (remaining dates: 10/11, 11/8, 12/13) in this series, you'll be entered to win a 45-minute private jazz lesson!
